StoneFly continues their multi-year technology alliance partnership with VMware and achieves hardware compatibility certification of StoneFly ISC and USO series appliances with the latest version of vSphere (ESXi).

(DNF), today announced completion of VMware Hardware Compatibility List (HCL) certification for both of its ISC (Integrated Storage Concentrator) and USO (Unified Scale Out) series of storage appliances for the latest versions of VMware vSphere ESXi 5.1 and ESXi 5.1 U1.

StoneFly’s ISC product line of IP SAN appliances which is now certified with VMware ESXi 5.1, was previously certified over the course of StoneFly’s long-running partnership with VMware with ESX 3.5 U1-U5, ESX 4.0 U1-U4, and ESX 4.1 U1-U3.
The StoneFly ISC and USO IP SAN appliances are officially VMware Ready™ Certified, meaning they have completed the VMware Hardware Certification Program’s iSCSI storage array testing criteria for use with VMware vSphere and ESXi Server 5.1, and are now listed in the VMware Hardware Compatibility Guide. The VMware Hardware Certification Program enables VMware Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) program members to provide mutual customers with jointly supported hardware solutions. Passing the extensive certification testing helps ensure that StoneFly IP SANs are compatible with VMware technology and ready for deployment in customer environments.
