        Each Dr365Z appliance node can scale to virtually unlimited storage capacity. The Backup appliance can scale up (add storage capacity) and scale out (add storage capacity and performance).

        To scale up, users can add expansion units with TeraBytes of storage capacity. To scale out users can add Dr365Z appliance nodes.

        Add TeraBytes of storage capacity comprising of enterprise SAS, SSD, or combinations of both to our single hyperconverged appliances.

        The expansion process is disruption-free and our SCVM software takes care of the integration process.

        The DR365z is a single hardware chassis with integrated Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) controller, RAID controller, and storage drives.

        It’s a turn-key, highly scalable, backup solution best fit for mid-tier to enterprise-tier use-cases with storage capacity ranging from Terabytes to Petabytes.

        The DR site in a box comes with standard iSCSI configuration with an optional upgrade of Fibre Channel.

        HCI Controller: The HCI controller comprises of the management layer (StoneFly SCVM™) and the virtualization layer (hypervisors: Hyper-V, VMware, or Citrix).

        • To add storage capacity, users can add expansion units capable of supporting 12, 16, 24, 36, 60, 90, and 108 enterprise SAS drives and SSDs.
        • To add performance and storage capacity, users can add DR365Z appliance nodes available in a variety of form factors ranging from 12 to 36 enterprise SAS and SSDs.

        DR365Z-HA™ – Disaggregated High Availability Backup & Replication Appliance

         

        The DR365Z-HA comprises of disaggregated hardware chassis. Our disaggregated hardware configuration comprises of the following components:

        • Dual HCI Controllers (1U or 2U)
        • RAID Array (12 to 36-bay)

        HCI Controller: The HCI Controllers are available in 1U and 2U chassis. Standard HCI controllers are available with 12Gb SAS ports. Optional upgrades include 16Gb Fibre Channel ports.

        The 1U controller, both 12Gb SAS and 16Gb FC, are capable of supporting a maximum of 1776 drives.

        The 2U controller, both 12Gb SAS and 16Gb FC< are capable of supporting a maximum of 4440 drives.

        RAID Array: The RAID array has built-in dual active/active RAID controller and storage drives.

        The redundant RAID controllers ensure that even if one fails, the second one continues to function.

        The Dual Node Shared Nothing hardware configuration leverages built-in replication features to setup on-premises or offsite appliance mirrors.

        The replication feature synchronously (or asynchronously) replicates data written on one backup appliance node to the other node.

        In the event of a complete appliance failure, the second appliance continues to operate delivering disruption-free data acessibility and recoverability.

        To reduce the digital footprint of replicated data, our backup systems leverage built-in data services such as deduplication, thin provisioning, compression and several others; hence optimizing storage space consumption and controlling the cost of data backup storage and retention.

        The totally disaggreagated backup and replication hardware configuration offers completely independent chassis to the key components of the backup system.

        Our Totally Disaggregated (DR365Z-TD) appliances comprise of the following hardware chassis:

        • Dual Active / Active RAID Controller (1U Chassis)
        • EBODs (12 to 108-bay)

        The DR365Z-TD comes in a standard configuration of 12Gb SAS attached ports with the option to upgrade it to 16Gb Fibre Channel (FC).

        HCI Controllers: Comprise of the virtualization layer (hypervisors: VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix) and the management layer (StoneFly SCVM™), and the backup software (Veeam).

        RAID Controller: This chassis comprises of two redundant active/active RAID controllers that ensure fault tolerance and continue to function even in the event of a RAID controller failure.

        EBOD: The Expandable Bunch of Drives (EBODs) support 7200RPM, 10k, and 15k enterprise SAS drives and 12Gbs SSDs delivering Terabytes to Petabytes of storage capacity for mission-critical enterprise backup data.
